The ISYY election candidacy phase has ended in 3.10.2019. Thank you for all attention, questions and above all, the candidates who joined during the preliminary campaign. With your help, we can build the future of better ISYY. Our preliminary candidacy acquisition ended largely in favor for the list of Students' Interest. Our current member amount is 19 candidates for the ISYY representative election, on the first election year of this list. There were also two more people who could not pay the ISYY membership in time so the original member amount was 21. We are glad to say that our member base is very broad also in the scope from the first-year students to masters and doctoral students and also a candidate who is already a doctor in mathematics who is studying additional studies. With the veterans of ISYY issues, the list also concludes some of the finest candidates of student issues champions. Do you want to participate? ISYY representative council election is near and it is time to join as an elect. We have established new list The Students' Interest. This list is a non-political list with every member being an independent candidate. We look for different elects with different backgrounds without any limits of student associations or area of study. A prime goal in our list is to carry its name as a principle and to guard the students and PhD students' interests. To us, ISYY is no place for political games, intelligent dishonesty nor disinformation. Our goal is to secure the benefits of students and PhD students regardless of the case. For this purpose, we advocate any good ideas regardless of the lists or political parties. Good ideas and visions for the future should not be caged in the maze of political play. The ideas should matter more. In our list we have following four main rules:

• Every elect on this list is independent. Every vote will happen with the help of the group but every decision regarding the vote will be within your own judgement and conscience.
• We help each other. In many regards, we will not be always with the same opinion, but we will see the value of every work effort.
• We do not play political games, intelligent dishonesty nor disinformation.
• Every member of the list vows to uphold the promotion of student interests according to the university law because without this deed the ISYY would be nothing.

The role of the Student Union is to contribute to the educational function of the University, as provided for in Article 2, by preparing students for active, informed and critical citizenship. "

Elects in our list will seek to conduct their acts as educators, exemplerily and who vigorously raise the level of students' interest in societal affairs. We want to resist development where trusted roles are only being sought for their benefits. The time of building an open and developing society is not lost yet. Together we can build the foundations for better tomorrow for our students. Join us with courage on our journey to clear to way for these views. Make a stand that things can change to better.
